Vegan Better Brownie Recipe

This brownie does not get much better. Rich in antioxidants, protein, vitamins, and minerals, this is a heart-healthy treat with no regrets! Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil (melted)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla

Dry Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup coconut sugar
  • ¼ cup Delores hemp seeds
  • 3 tablespoon cacao nibs
  • ½ cup oat flour
  • ⅓ cup cacao powder
  • ¼ cup coconut flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon rock salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Lightly grease a 7×11 (or 9×9) glass pan with coconut oil. 
  3. In a small bowl, mix together all WET ingredients. 
  4. In a separate bowl, mix DRY ingredients: coconut sugar, hemp hearts, and cacao nibs; then sift in oat flour, coconut flour, cacao powder, baking soda, and salt. 
  5. In a dry mix bowl, make a center and slowly mix in the wet ingredients. 
  6. Evenly spoon batter into greased pan. 
  7. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. 
  8. Remove from oven and let cool in pan before frosting or cutting.
